We cannot finish this sketch, without mentioning that the National Schools belonging to St. Peter's gave place to a Memorial Hall, to the memory of those who fought during the Great War. It was erected in the year 1935. The foundation stones bear the following inscriptions:-
To the Glory of God, this Foundation Stone was laid by William Gibbons, Esq. .
This Stone was laid by two scholars of the Sunday School to mark the site of the Old National Schools.
