Elsie Lavinia PHIBBS was born 22 Dec 1904 at 13 Fullwoods End, Coseley. She Married Thomas SHAW on 26 Jul 1931 at the Wesleyan Church Coseley. At the time of her marriage she lived at 7 Fullwoods End, Coseley.
Her father was Henry PHIBBS who was a saddler and harness maker. Her Mother was Emily PHIBBS (nee SUTTON). Elsie's occupation at the time was given as a pen nib piercer.
Her husband Thomas SHAW was born 25 Nov 1903 at 21 Brook Road, Woodsetton, Sedgley. At the time of their marriage he lived at 38 Parkes Lane, Woodsetton, Sedgley. He worked as an Iron Moulder first at Parkes Mill and later at Matthews Mill Bradley before my father Desmond, got him a job at Richards and Ross as a Radiographic Film Developer in their dark room. His father was John Edward SHAW who was a gas stove fitter and then a machinist. His mother was Sarah Ann SHAW (nee ALLEN)
When my dad (Desmond) was born in 1935 they were living at 'Belmont' Fullwoods End
Coseley before moving to 7 Kenelm Road Coseley where they lived thereafter.
